Introducing...

...Dave, the Staff Engineer! No, it doesn't mean that he got his Master's yet, but he did get a promotion. We are very proud of him around here. He has been at IBM for around 4 years, and of the people hired around the same time as he was, he is among the first to get promoted. It doesn't really change his everyday job, (especially since his manager told him that he has already been doing a lot of work that a Staff Engineer would typically do) but this does give me more job security as a stay-at-home mom. :)
