Four Legged House Guest

A few weeks ago Uncle Luke accepted a job teaching math at the high school in Cannon Falls. He and Jenna found an apartment in Cannon Falls, and Jenna was very excited that they allowed pets. (Especially since there was a little kitten at her folk's house that had already won over her heart.) Due to various reasons we ended up taking in this kitten, named Ruby, until Jenna and Luke move into their apartment at the end of the month. We brought her home yesterday and so far she has not been eaten by Rusty or squeezed to death by Martin, so I think things are going well. Rusty is less than thrilled to have a kitten in the house, but so far has done nothing but stare her down and hiss. (The hissing doesn't seem to faze Ruby one bit, but it sure has scared Martin.) For the most part, Martin is having a lot of fun with Ruby, except for this morning when she kept messing with the imaginary waffles he was cooking.
