We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Our Christmas Eve started out with sending the kids on a bit of a scavenger hunt. At the end of the hunt they found a picture of their new bunk beds. Martin knew what it was right away and was really excited. Libby didn’t seem too impressed at first, but she did love her new lady bug quilt for her bed. Dave spent most of the rest of the day putting the bunk beds together and getting the crib put up. We barely had time to straighten things up and have a quick bite to eat before getting to church. After church the kids got to open the rest of their presents from us.

After a very short night, (the kids had a hard time falling asleep with the excitement of Christmas and their new beds) we managed to make it to church on time. After church the kids got to open stockings and after lunch we headed to Mankato. After a visit with Grandma and Grandpa Woller, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Paulsen’s for the big Paulsen family Christmas.

The next day we went home via a car dealer in Northfield, where we picked up our Christmas present to ourselves, a 2009 Ford Flex. The kids were so excited to ride home in the new car, and it should have plenty of room for a third car seat.
On Friday we headed back to Mankato for the Woller family Christmas celebration. As has become tradition, we made predictions for the New Year, the kids played Bible Bingo, we went swimming, and had a talent show/joke-a-thon. After one last visit with the remaining Woller aunts/uncles/cousins, we made it home on Saturday afternoon. We had a great Christmas.
