Camping: Take 2

Since our first camping trip was so ridiculously hot. I was still craving the type of camping where you can actually sit around the camp fire and sleep without sweating all night. So we decided to go camping again this last weekend. This time we went to Flandrau in New Ulm. We left on Thursday after Dave got done with work and didn’t get to the park until a few minutes before 9. (Which is lucky, since the office closed at 9) We got one of the two remaining campsites and set up camp in the semi-dark, a first for us, I think. That night we got to experience a pretty good thunderstorm. The kids slept through a good chunk of it, but then woke up and I ended up laying with them until they fell asleep again. The rest of the weekend went really well though. We took a hike, did a lot of swimming, and even played disc golf. On Friday night Grandma and Grandpa Woller joined us for dinner and a camp fire. On Saturday we even took the kids into town to watch the Glockenspiel.
