Anyone who has talked to Martin in the last two months knows that he has been doing chores around the house to earn money (a quarter at a time) to buy what he was calling, Francesco Lego guy:
Well, this weekend he finally earned enough quarters to buy it. On Saturday afternoon he took a hammer to his piggy bank. (He got the piggy bank for free and we didn’t realize until he had put his money in it that there was no way to get the money back out.) Then he exchanged his quarters for dollar bills which he then stored in his new wallet that he got for his birthday.
He is super excited to have reached his goal and we are very proud of him. He hasn’t settled on what he is going to earn money for next, but he has lots of ideas.
