Father's Day

We had a very fun and busy Father's day yesterday. After church we went to the Annual Fly In Breakfast/Fundraiser at the Dodge Center airport. We had never gone before, but thought that Martin would enjoy seeing the planes taking off and landing. It was a good brunch, and we did get to see a number of planes, and a helicopter take off and land.
After Libby's nap we decided to go to Owatonna to play a round of disc golf. There is a creek that runs through the park and after all the rain we have gotten lately is was very full and fast. I played the water holes very conservatively, (or not at all) and therefore didn't throw one disc in the water. (Since it was Father's day, I won't mention Dave's results.)
After disc golf we hurried into Rochester to go to Dave's baseball game. Uncle Luke was subbing on Dave's team, so we got to see him, Aunt Jenna and Emily too. This was the first game that we had been to, and the kids had a blast. None of us really watched much of Dave's game though. Martin managed to play his own imaginary baseball game using the Frisbees as bases. Libby discovered how fun it was to run around on bleachers, so I was kept pretty busy chasing after her. We all came home pretty dirty and tired, proof that it had been a great day.
