Two Quotes

Martin and I were playing with his blocks this morning. I found the I block and noticed that it had a picture of ice cream on it. I showed it to Martin and got an unexpected (but not an unreasonable) response. He said, "Ice cream is too expensive."
Just now we were watching some birds eating from our bird feeder. I was impressed to see that we had attracted both a blue jay and a cardinal at the same time. I told Martin, "Wow! A blue bird and a red bird at the same time." To which he responded, "Like the flag!" What a patriotic boy!
