Dave and I have most of our Christmas shopping done, and like other years we did some of it online. It is pretty exciting to see what packages arrive in the mail each day. Yesterday we got a package from Amazon in which the packaging material inside the box was one long piece of paper. Martin had so much fun playing with it. I think his favorite part was chasing after the cat trying to get the cat to play with him. The cat just kept running around waiting for an opportunity to crawl into the box that it came in. They kept each other entertained for quite some time.

When our children were that age, we always wondered why we even bothered with the gifts! They would always discard the gift in favor of the box to play with. One year for Christmas, Andrew made an elaborate spaceship out of a fridge box...but alas, they were scared of it!! :)
